Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory

We built the world’s largest known magnetic shield room using 850,000 pounds of high density concrete and 27,000 pounds of Amumetal. The Neutron Spin Echo Spectrometer Magnetic Shield measures 14' wide, 12' high, and 59' long.
