Construction Project Manager

Searching for a smart, organized, aggressive and hard-working Construction Project Manager at Amuneal Manufacturing Corporation supporting our largest, most high-profile projects. Industrial designers and architects welcome! Amuneal is a leading fabricator of custom architectural features for retail, residential and commercial projects. Check the “Custom Fabrication” portion of our web site to see the types of projects in which you will be involved. We have a very dynamic, energetic work environment in which hard work and dedication is rewarded with increasing responsibilities and opportunity. The following requirements apply to this position:

  • • 5 years of working experience in a professional environment in the architecture, construction or custom fabrication industries.
  • • Ability to read and understand architectural and/or engineering drawings.
  • • Ability to draw in 2D CAD and/or 3D model in software such as Solidworks, Solid Edge, Rhino, Inventor, etc.
  • • High comfort level meeting and interfacing with clients at all levels of their organization.
  • • High comfort level working on construction sites conducting site surveys and coordinating with other trades. Must not be afraid to get dirty on occasion.
  • • Strong personal organization skills.
  • • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • • Strong overall computer and IT skills.

Experience in the following areas is highly valuable for this position. Candidates must have a background or working experience that includes at least three of the areas listed below:

  • • AutoCAD and/or Solid Modeling (Rhino, SolidWorks SolidEdge)
  • • GoogleSketchUp
  • • ERP Systems (Oracle, SAP, Epicor, etc)
  • • Estimating (i.e. performing material take-offs, estimating labor hours, sourcing and gathering subcontractor costs)

Director of Facilities, Equipment + Safety

Northeast Philadelphia Fabrication company with both metal and wood production facilities is looking to create a new position for a Director of Facilities, Equipment + Safety. This role will lead a small team and direct third party contractors in the care of the company’s multiple locations, fabrication equipment, safety and environmental programs.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will need to be proactive in supporting the many facets of the business including the following:

  • Manage on-going construction / maintenance projects in each of the company’s facilities.
  • Implement a proactive Preventative Maintenance Program for the tools and equipment that support the company’s manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing teams in the training of proper machine operation and maintenance.
  • Promote and foster an environment that supports and drives the company’s commitment to its safety program and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Manage responsibilities for environmental compliance and permitting.

The Requirements: Applicants must be mature, experienced in “city” driving (frequent trips from Philadelphia to New York City) and handling of precious and custom materials/products in a manufacturing environment and have the following required skills:

  • Safe and efficient operation and care of trucks (24′ Box, 16′ Box Sprinter Van, P/U truck)
  • Ability to lift, place, package and deliver custom materials/products that vary in weight and shape
  • Experienced with “normal” logistics paperwork i.e. packing slips, BOL, shipping manifest etc.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and mature manner and confidence to work with vendors and customers
  • Experience using equipment to move material, store and secure loads, load and unload trucks
  • Fast learner with the demonstrated ability to build a technical knowledge about unfamiliar products and processes

PT / FT Metal Fabricator 2nd Shift (Flexible Start Time)

Who We Need: We are looking for an experienced energetic, creative, and determined individual to support our metal fabrication needs.

The Culture: We have an open, fast-paced, and self-directed culture. Our team is comprised of an incredible, dedicated, collaborative, and talented group of designers, engineers, fabricators, project managers and manufacturing support personnel who are passionate about what we do.

The Requirements: Applicants must be mature, experienced in metal fabrication (specifically stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals), welding and metal finishing. Those particularly skilled in mirror polishing and capable of working welded surfaces to a polish are especially encouraged to apply. Must be capable of working alone and able to work within a team.

Other “basic” requirements:

  • Safe and efficient operation of metal shop equipment (saw, drill press, welders, rollers etc.)
  • Familiar with hand polishing tools and pedestal polishers
  • Ability to lift, place and maneuver custom materials/products that vary in weight and shape
  • Experienced with “normal” shop paperwork including prints, job travelers and work instructions
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and mature manner and confidence to work with internal customers from our Engineering, Sales and Logistics teams etc.
  • Experience making custom metal work while achieving production rates

Expectations:

  • Before beginning an operation, it is expected that our fabricators spot imperfections in prepped materials and take responsibility for correcting any quality issues to ensure work continues and that products/parts will meet aesthetic standards when finished.
  • As production schedules and custom projects vary, our Fabricators will be asked to work independently and as part of a team. Work, during any given shift, may consist of performing a single operation on many parts or performing various operations on one part.
  • Fabricators will also be asked to perform complex assembly operations and quickly resolve unexpected quality issues so that product can be shipped on time.
  • All employees are expected abide to company safety policies. Employees must be able to meet or exceed workmanship and productivity standards, as well as efficiency targets.
